We do not ask you to create an account or submit personal information to use the tools. The values you type into a calculator or generator are processed in your browser and are not sent to us or stored on our servers.

Like most websites, we collect anonymous usage information through analytics, described below. If you email us, we receive the email address and the contents of your message so we can reply.

We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it. Analytics load only if you accept cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. When enabled, Google Analytics may collect information such as the pages you visit, how long you stay, your approximate location (from your IP address), and your device and browser type. This information is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

We do not show ads today. If we add advertising in the future, the ads may use cookies or similar technologies to measure performance or show more relevant content. We will update this page before that happens.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can block analytics cookies if you prefer. To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The tools will keep working with cookies blocked.

We do not keep the values you enter into tools. Analytics data is retained by Google according to their own retention settings. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.

We rely on a small number of trusted services to run the site, including Google Analytics for usage statistics and our hosting provider to serve the pages. These providers process limited technical data on our behalf. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.

Practical Tools is a general-audience website and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

The site can be used from anywhere. By using it, you understand that analytics data may be processed in countries other than your own, including by Google.

We may update this policy as the site grows or the law changes. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
